I don't know what's happening with my internet presence, but I've been writing lately considerably more laid-back, relaxed stuff; longer essays, if you will. (By laid-back and relaxed I mean shoddy and low-quality rambling, but you knew that already, didn't you.)

I have no idea whether they are any good, probably not, but at least writing them feels fun. And although it's a cliche, I really am writing them for myself. Just rambling on a subject opens up new lines of thought for myself and that alone justifies the effort.

But in the unprobable but lucky case that you or someone wants to read them too, here's the new side project of mine:

Jarno's Blog Rants (With Apologies To Steve). (There's an Atom feed, too, but I'm not sure about its semantic validity, yet. Send me feedback to jajvirta@gmail.com if you'd like it fixed.)

The whole concept is a bit shaky and I don't know what comes of it, but it feels like a fruitful ground to work on. Don't ask me why I'm using the format, or why do I feel better writing ramblings of that kind, because the truth is that I don't know.

I just do. So sue me.
