I was kinda delighted to see that Minix 3, the new version of Minix that is not a teaching tool, already has a Python port, but appalled when I realized it was Python 1.5.2 that someone had ported. Now, I don't have any plans to toy around with Minix 3, but, still, Python 1.5.2? That's like so last century.
