Sheesh, now I have an experimental bannerless page at our departments server; the very same that has the RSS file too. The same kludgy system that provides the RSS file produces the above mentioned bannerless XHTML Strict page so for the time being it's as up-to-date with the main site as the RSS file is.[So what I'm saying is that you can link to that location too.]

Remaining question is that why the hell I'm using Blogger anymore? Just to make sure that I'm not understood incorrectly I must emphasize that there's nothing bad with Blogger, it's a great software. I just want to serve XHTML Strict too, I don't know why, and RSS feed and I seem to be willing to do brain-damaged kludges to achieve that.
